Deputy Permanent Secretary (F&A) Personnel Management Office - Mr. Mustapha MB. Nyabally

PROFILE

Mr. Mustapha MB. Nyabally is an experienced senior civil servant who has served in the Civil Service of the Gambia for more than two (2) decades. He started his career at the Regional Education Office (Region Two), Brikama, West Coast Region in March 2000 as a Records Clerk and rose through the ranks to become a Principal Records Officer at the National Record Service Headquarters (NRS). In 2013, he was redeployed to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology as Principal Assistant Secretary, then to the Ministry of Justice briefly, before moving to the Personnel Management Office in the same year. In 2017, he moved to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs until July 2020 when he was promoted to the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary and redeployed back to the Ministry of Justice. Again in January 2021, Mr. Nyabally was redeployed back to the PMO in the same capacity as Deputy Permanent Secretary, Finance and Administration.

 

DPS Nyabally holds a double Bachelor’s degree in History and English Language as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. Additionally, Mr. Nyabally has undergone several professional training programmes both locally and overseas as well as represented The Gambia at many international conferences through which he has acquired expertise in Records and Archives Management, HR and Public Administration.

As Deputy Permanent Secretary Finance and Administration, he is responsible for day to day personnel and financial matters within the PMO.
